Pagodas and temples are a synonym for Myanmar

Everywhere in the country pagodas and temples with golden glinting or just in white or covered with glass mosaic are everywhere. Placed on top of hill, into rivers seen, or just a small shrine at the roadside they are everywhere on beaches and islands and right in the city center such as the Sule Pagoda in Yangon or the Shwedagon Platform on the hill.
