Domestic travel.


Most roads still exist from colonial times. Only a few prestige roads where "big shots" and foreigners are traveling have been built or extended. That means from Yangon to Naypyidaw > which is the capital. They also improved it to Chauntha > and Ngwe Saung because this are the two main beach areas. There is a good one to Pyay or Prome and to Bago.

Often two vehicles can't pass unless one moves into the ditch and that is the only main road into south Myanmar. 

That's the main road further south at Dawai

Even the main one in direction Mandalay > is not good. It is strange that even the only one to the south behind Bago is real lousey. This ends totally at Myeik > from there to Kawthaung > is only the coastal speedboat or the big steamer.

In the east, the west and the north it looks real grim, the people who run the country before did a real bad job. and today still everyone is suffering from.

The first priority of the government should be the infrastructure, just ask the Thais they have the best road system in the region, one of the reason why they have this is such big projects are best to get money into the pockets of the influential people by kickbacks.
