When visiting Myanmar you you go for shopping you will automatically get visually in touch with this pretty little precious stones, they are one of the main valuable assets the country have. Most popular are ruby, jade, sapphire, diamonds, pearls plus gold and silver.
Burmese ruby and jade are well known "trademarks", know all over the world, they can be bought withing jewelries and as loose stones. Most of gem shops are at the Bogyoke Market, of course there are other places to buy but not as many as in this oriental bazaar.
